Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is for sure my favorite beatles album, but I'll try not to be too biased. I got it 2 christmases ago at the same time as my iPod and Yellow Submarine. Good year. Okay, let's start!
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band/With a Little Help From My Friends is great to sing along to and I love sining John and Paul's british accent in Friends. Sgt P's is fun but not so great and Friends is still pretty good. 4/5!
Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds is one of my favorite Beatles songs. I remember first learning how to play it on guitar and my mom saying I'm off-pitch with it. I may have forgotten how to play it and I still have bad pitch, but it still really does rock. 5/5!
Getting Better isn't great by Smash Mouth but is still pretty good by The Beatles! I still sing it on Beatles Rockband, actually. 4/5!
Fixing a Hole is pretty much just filler, but it does have an okay melody. 3/5!
She's Leaving Home is a true story about a girl. I won't get into that, but the song itself is great. It's almost classical music with soft, clear vocals and it's almost chilling. It doesn't rock. It rolls along smootly, though. Maybe I am a little partial. 5/5!
Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite is true except for the horse's name. It's about an 1800's circus poster that John bought at an auction. The song's instruments sound so cool and the melody's okay. I'll give it a 4/5!
Within You Without You is what I call Indian-Pop. It's great but a little long. My mom still loves it and wants more, though. 4/5!
When I'm Sixty-Four is what John would call granny music, but I like it. I'd say it's part of the better half of the album. It's an old Paul ditty from '61. they revamped it with some double tracked vocals to make Paul sound younger and it's great. 5/5!
Lovely Rita is filler, but with a good piano solo. 3/5.
Good Morning, Good Morning is a John song that even John hates. I don't particularly like it but it's not all bad. 3/5!
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise) is Sgt P's sped up with new lyrics. 3/5!
Ahhhh. A Day in the Life is the Beatles' great masterpiece. It's listed as their greatest song in every book I know of and my mom's exact favorite. I love it so much as a finale that I'll have to give it 6/5!!!! Yes, 6/5!!!!!
Overall, even after examaning it, this is still, maybe even more, my favorite Beatlesw album and the Beatles are my favorite band! That must make it my favorite album EVER!!!!!!!
